The Seattle Seahawks unveiled a new alternate logo on Monday. The logo is a profile shot of a Seahawk, putting the fans face to face or “beak to beak” with the Seahawk. It uses the same navy, white, gray, and green colors as the team’s main logo.
Before this new alternate logo, fans have only been able to see a side view of the bird. The new perspective on the bird is very unique, I’ve never seen a logo quite like this before.
On Twitter, the logo has been met with a lot of mocking. People have compared the forward facing Seahawk to a number of famous birds such as Sam the Eagle from The Muppets, and Red from Angry Birds.
I’m not a fan of the new logo, but props to the Seahawks for trying something different.
