Adrian Peterson Signs With the Redskins

Former MVP Adrian Peterson has signed a one year deal with the Washington Redskins. Peterson started last season with the Saints, but signed with the Arizona Cardinals after being cut. He finished the season with 529 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. Peterson needs just 37 rushing yards to pass Jim Brown for 10th most all time.

Running back injuries have plagued the Redskins this offseason. Derrius Guice, the Redskins rookie back is out for the season with a torn ACL, and backup Samajae Perine is expected to miss a week or two with an ankle injury. Peterson will be competing with Perine and Rob Kelly for the starting running back job.
